Artist's Bio

Jen Aldrich is a photographer working across the U.S.Photography has always been a part of my life from my first toy camera, when I was three, to my beloved 1959 Hasselblad, and now the digital age. As a kid, I used to enjoy looking at my Dad's photographs of his trips to Japan, Spain, Portugal, Africa, and the Midwest. When I was a teenager my father gave me his Pentax KE. I put thousands of rolls through that sturdy, metal-bodied camera photographing Wisconsin landscapes and its people of German, Belgian, Dutch, Irish, and Scandinavian heritage. Photography is a spiritual form of expression for me, whether I am photographing nature or people. It allows me to be completely present in the moment.

We see photographs everyday that connect us to the common thread of humanity. I believe it is my job, as a photographer to capture the essence of the individual and his/her relationship to their environment. The key is understanding light. It is through the divine connection of being present that I am able to "capture the spirit" of my subject. I enjoy connecting with people and making them feel comfortable while sharing my gift of visual art. I would be honored to be of service to share in the special moments that are important to you. Please call me for a photo consultation and let us record the historical events of your precious life! Contact Jen at (920)664-0629 or e-mail aldrich.jen@gmail.com.
